Press Release Summary: ENENSYS showcases the first end-to-end DVB-T2 transmission at
IBC 2008

Press Release Body: IBC World Congress: ENENSYS, NXP Semiconductors and Pace plc are
proud to present tomorrow\'s enhanced terrestrial TV by showcasing the first
end-to-end DVB-T2 demonstration of this brand new standard.

At this year\'s IBC in Amsterdam, ENENSYS will demonstrate for the first time an
end-to-end DVB-T2 chain including a modulator and a demodulator, thanks to a strong
partnership with NXP Semiconductors and Pace.

ENENSYS is proud to showcase its FPGA-based modulator natively designed to handle
any kind of standard (already available in DVB-T, DVB-H and DTMB). This powerful
platform has been reused to embed the DVB-T2 modulation core. The prototype
show-cased on DVB booth at IBC is the first working step in the DVB-T2 modulator
development, presenting a live on-air end-to-end solution. This new ENENSYS product
will allow transmitter manufacturer, chipset manufacturers and R&D teams to perform
live signal broadcast, factory tests and measurements, demonstrations or roadshows.

Although this standard is quite new, the demonstration has been set up thanks to the
close partnership between ENENSYS, NXP Semiconductors and Pace. Alongside ENENSYS\'
modulator development, NXP Semiconductors took on the complete front-end
(terrestrial silicon tuner and demodulator) while Pace demonstrated the content on
the world’s first DVB-T2 proof of concept HD set-top box.

DVB-T2 is a digital terrestrial transmission system developed by the DVB Project and
designed for use in a post-Analogue Switch-Off (ASO) environment. It introduces the
latest modulation and coding techniques to enable highly efficient use of valuable
terrestrial spectrum for the delivery of audio, video and data services to fixed,
portable and mobile devices. The proposed DVB-T2 specification is expected to
provide a capacity gain 30 to 50% higher than with DVB-T.

Michel Hello, Transmission Product Manager at ENENSYS, said: \"ENENSYS has the most
complete portfolio of DTV broadcast products, from SFN adaptation through MIP
insertion and transmission, to signal reception and real-time analysis. Thus, given
our expertise on existing standards such as DVB-T, DVB-H, DTMB, etc, we are
naturally encouraged to broaden our portfolio and include this new efficient
standard\".
